No Excuses at the Throne

Imagine standing in a courtroom where every secret is exposed, every moment is known, and no

argument can change the verdict. That is the picture Revelation 20 paints of the Great White Throne judgment. Every person, regardless of status or wealth, will stand before God with nothing hidden. Here is the breathtaking truth though. God has already made a way out. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take the punishment we deserve. The door to salvation is wide open. No one has to face that courtroom unprepared. But here is the weight of it. If someone stands before God without Christ, it will not be because God failed them. It will not be because the opportunity never came. It will be a choice they made. That is both sobering and motivating, because it means today still matters. The decision you make right now carries eternal weight. You are not reading this by accident. This is your moment to consider where you stand with Jesus Christ. The good news is that grace is still available, and God is still calling.

Bible Verse

"Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books." - Revelation 20:11-12

Reflection Question

If you knew you would stand before God tomorrow, would you feel confident in where you stand with Him today, and what is shaping that answer?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for making a way so that no one has to face eternity without You. Give me a heart that takes Your grace seriously and help me never to take today for granted. Amen.
