Salvation or Wrath?
Have you ever felt like you were destined for punishment? Maybe guilt from past mistakes makes you wonder if God is angry with you. Here's the beautiful truth that can transform your perspective: if you're a believer in Jesus Christ, God has not appointed you to experience His wrath. Instead, you're appointed to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. This isn't based on your performance or perfection - it's based on Christ's finished work on the cross. When the Great Tribulation comes to earth as God's judgment, believers will already be safely with Jesus. This divine appointment isn't something you earned; it's something you received as a gift through faith. Think about the relief of knowing that your eternal destiny is secure, that God's anger toward sin was satisfied at Calvary.
You don't have to live in fear of divine punishment because Jesus took that punishment for you. This security should fill you with gratitude and motivate you to share this incredible news with others who are still living under the weight of guilt and fear.
Bible Verse
'For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.' - 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10
Reflection Question
