Living with Spiritual Awareness
In Noah's time, people lived completely absorbed in their daily routines - eating, drinking, celebrating -while remaining utterly oblivious to God's impending judgment. They weren't necessarily more evil than other generations; they were simply indifferent to spiritual reality. Today, we face the same danger. Our world is filled with distractions that can numb us to what truly matters. We get caught up in work deadlines, social media, entertainment, and countless other pursuits while missing the most important reality of all - Jesus is coming back. The question isn't whether we're busy or even whether we're doing good things. The question is whether we're spiritually awake and aware. Are we living with an eternal perspective, or are we so consumed with temporary things that we've lost sight of what's permanent?
God doesn't want us to live in fear, but He does want us to live with awareness. When we truly grasp that this world is temporary and that Jesus could return at any moment, it changes everything - our priorities, our relationships, our daily choices.
Bible Verse
'But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.' - Matthew 24:37-39
Reflection Question
