Your ‘Yes’ to God’s Impossible

Mary's response to the angel's announcement has echoed through history: 'Behold, the Lord's bondservant. May it be done to me according to your word.' In that moment, a teenage girl said yes to God's impossible plan, and the world was forever changed.

Mary didn't know how her yes would affect her reputation, her relationship with Joseph, or her future. She didn't know about the difficult journey to Bethlehem, the birth in a stable, or the flight to Egypt. She certainly didn't know about watching her son die on a cross. But she said yes anyway. God is still looking for people who will say yes to His impossible plans. He's not looking for people who have it all figured out or who feel completely qualified. He's looking for people who, like Mary, will trust Him enough to say, 'May it be done according to Your word.'

Your yes might not change the entire world like Mary's did, but it will change your world. When you say yes to God's impossible plans for your life—whether it's forgiving someone who hurt you, stepping into a new calling, or trusting Him with an uncertain future—you open the door for Him to do miraculous things. The same God who worked through Mary's yes is ready to work through yours. He's not asking you to be perfect or to have all the answers. He's simply asking if you'll trust Him enough to say yes to His impossible plans for your life.

What is God asking you to say yes to today? Like Mary, you can choose to be His servant, ready for Him to accomplish His will through your willing heart.

Bible Verse

'And Mary said, "Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.' - Luke 1:38

Lord, like Mary, I want to say yes to Your plans for my life, even when they seem impossible. Help me to trust You completely and to surrender my will to Yours. May it be done in my life according to Your word. Use me for Your glory. Amen.
