The Evidence of True Surrender
When Jesus truly becomes our Master, our lives begin to show unmistakable evidence. It's not about perfection - it's about direction and the gradual transformation that comes from genuine surrender.
First, we learn to surrender our words. Instead of speaking whatever comes to mind, we begin asking, "What would Jesus have me say?" Our conversations become seasoned with grace, our criticism turns to encouragement, and our complaints transform into prayers.
Second, we surrender our opinions to His authority. This doesn't mean we stop thinking, but we hold our thoughts lightly, always willing to be corrected by God's Word. We trust His wisdom over our understanding, especially when His ways don't make sense to our limited perspective.
Third, we practice genuine repentance - not just feeling sorry for our mistakes, but actually changing direction. When the Holy Spirit convicts us, we don't make excuses or justify our behavior. We turn around and walk in obedience.
Perhaps most challenging is learning to love our enemies and forgive those who hurt us. This supernatural response only comes when Christ's love flows through us. We can't manufacture this kind of grace on our own - it's evidence that Jesus is truly working in our hearts.
These changes don't happen overnight, but they do happen. Each act of surrender makes the next one easier. Each choice to follow Jesus strengthens our spiritual muscles for the next challenge.
Bible Verse
'If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.' - John 15:5-7

Looking at the evidence in your life over the past month, in which area (words, opinions, repentance, or forgiveness) do you see the most growth, and where do you need Jesus to work more deeply?
Prayer
Jesus, I want my life to bear fruit that proves You are my Master. Transform my world. Amen!!!
