Making God Preeminent
There's a crucial difference between prominent and preeminent. Something prominent is important and noticeable; something preeminent is supreme and above all else. God doesn't want to be just another important thing in your life - He wants to be the most important thing, the foundation upon which everything else is built. When God is preeminent in your life, every decision is filtered through your relationship with Him. Your career, relationships, finances, and dreams all become secondary to His will and glory. This isn't about becoming a religious fanatic; it's about recognizing that the Creator of the universe deserves first place in the lives of His children. When God is truly preeminent, your prayers become incredibly powerful because they flow from a heart that's completely aligned with His purposes. You're no longer trying to convince God to bless your plans - you're asking Him to accomplish His plans through you. This is where prayer becomes truly victorious, where we can experience the truth that prayer can do anything God can do.
Bible Verse
'Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.' -Mark 14:38
