Building Bold Faith
David's confidence didn't come from his size, experience, or weapons - it came from knowing God intimately through His Word and past faithfulness. There's a crucial difference between saying we believe God's Word and actually believing it deep in our hearts. Many Christians remain defeated because their faith hasn't grown strong enough to face their giants boldly. Faith doesn't grow by simply attending church or hearing sermons; it grows through personal, consistent engagement with God's Word. When we spend time reading, meditating on, and applying Scripture to our lives, our faith muscles strengthen. We begin to see God's character, His promises, and His power more clearly. David could run toward Goliath because he had experienced God's faithfulness when facing lions and bears. He knew God's track record personally.
Bold faith comes from knowing God's Word so well that His promises become more real than our problems. When we truly believe - not just say we believe - that God is who He says He is and will do what He promises to do, we can face any giant with confidence. The question isn't whether God is powerful enough to defeat our giants; the question is whether our faith is strong enough to trust Him completely.
Bible Verse
'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.' - Matthew 19:26

How can you deepen your engagement with God's Word this week to build the kind of bold faith that faces giants without fear?
Quote
“The reason most of us cannot step out in bold faith is we haven't engaged God's word enough to build our faith.”-Jimmy Clendenin
